New Feature

I had some feedback from one of Ray's fans, that a lot of times she doesn't add "comments" in the comment box because of those stupid words that you have to type in to prove that you are a person and not a robot. So this morning I took some time and looked at the blog format to see if there was some way to make life easier for all of Ray's fans.
I have added an option at the bottom of each blog to give one-word feedback. If you are pressed for time or really have nothing to say, all you have to do is check the box next to the word that best reflects your reaction.
Apparently, there is no limit to the number of words I can put in the reaction section. So if you want to see your own reaction word in that list, put it in the comments box so that I can add it. For now you will have to settle for "like, funny, huh, and love this." (Notice that I didn't add any negative comments. My mom always said "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything." I don't follow her advice but I expect Ray's fans are better people than I.)
I would like to add that I would very much miss your comments so please don't stop commenting now that I've made it easier for you to do just that. Ray and I like to know what you think and we like to hear about your animals too.
Thanks again for following Ray the Blind Dog.

  1. I think that feature is on my comments now too - where posters have to type in something extra to prove they aren't robots. ;) Actually, I only did it cause one time I woke up to a bunch of comments - on each post I'd written all from some advertising place. It was not fun to delete them all. So I totally understand why you have that.

But I also like the additional feature in case I ever just can't bring myself to type in an additional 8 characters. ;)

    1. Truthfully, I really dislike those "type in the character" things. I can never read them and have to type and retype until I finally get one right. It's even worse when I try to "type the words that you hear" option.
So I totally understand the frustration level when someone tries to post a comment but can't because of the "type in the character" feature. Hopefully this will make things a bit easier. Although, like I said before, I would really miss seeing comments.

  2. it sounds like I am super lazy but I don't always read the blog on my netbook, I have other devices that while convenient to read stuff on are not always so convenient to type on ! But thanks for the new feature it is appreciated, and the blog is much appreciated and is a regular part of my life now !

  3. I really enjoy reading about Ray and his adventures and as I've said before, I think it's great that people can see how normal he is. Being new to this whole blogging thing (thanks again for your support!) I didn't always comment but now that I am blogging, I see how much a comment means. The new feature is a good idea and I too have trouble with those "type in" things, glad we can try a few!
